Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Gaming OC PRO gets thinner

Gigabyte figured that their RTX 3060 Ti does not actually need such a beefy cooler, so they made it thinner.

Gigabyte outs GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Gaming OC Pro.. again. The new revision is thinner and shorter. The card will now occupy 2 slots, rather than 2 and a half. The length of the card has also been reduced by 4 mm and width by 2 mm. Gigabyte does not share details on the designs weight but it appears that a large part of the heatsink has also been reduced, which will surely affect the weight.

The graphics card is based on GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, the GA104-based model with 4864 CUDA cores. The model features 8GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 14 Gbps. The Gaming OC Pro has been factory-modified to 1770 MHz, 115 MHz above the reference specs.

Gigabyte did not modify the number of the power connector, the card is still configured with 8-pin and 6-pin connectors. However, their placement has been changed as a result of installing a much shorter PCB. A shorter PCB means that more air can be pushed through the vent hole behind the third fan.

Gigabyte did not reveal the pricing nor when this revision will be available. What is safe to assume is that the new revision is likely to replace the original design though.
