Gigabyte: next gen (mobile) GPUs are scheduled towards the end of the year

The next generation mobile GPUs are currently expected ‘towards the end of the year’, claims Gigabyte representative.

NVIDIA to launch GeForce 20 mobile series later this year

Whether you expect GeForce 11 or GeForce 20 series, it really doesn’t matter. The next generation NVIDIA architecture, be it Ampere, Turing or even Pascal Refresh is still not ready for launch. There are no leaks and no plausible rumors to share, except this one.

At OverclockersUK forums Gigabyte UK Notebook representative has confirmed that no Aero 15X refresh is expected till the new generation of (GeForce) graphics is available. That is until the end of this year.

It’s worth noting that the mobile GeForce series are not necessarily coming at the same time as desktop variants. Intel’s 6-core notebooks have just been released, so notebook makers are in no rush to create new models.
