GIGABYTE unveils VISION series
GIGABYTE RTX 3070 VISION OC and RTX 3090 VISION OC
Gigabyte is now targetting a new type of consumers for whom gaming aesthetics are less important than simple, yet modern and sleek designs. A white and silver color graphics card is still considered a niche market, but even PC chassis manufacturers have noticed the increasing interest in such designs. Naturally, colorful GPU designs crippled with unnecessary RGB lighting do not look great in such cases. For those GPU manufacturers are releasing more and more options, such as ROG STIRX white, GALAX HOF, or GIGABYTE VISION series.
Gigabyte today added two more VISION SKUs: the RTX 3090 and RTX 3070. The manufacturer already released the RTX 3080 VISION OC model and has recently updated its specifications. Gigabyte is expected to release non-OC VISION models later, but for now, we only have factory-overclocked models with the following specs:
- GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3090 24G VISION OC boost clock: 1755 MHz (+60 MHz)
- GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3080 10G VISION OC boost clock: 1800 MHz (+90 MHz)
- GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 8G VISION OC boost clock: TBD
All VISION models are equipped with a triple-fan Windforce 3X cooling solution. The difference between GA102 and GA104 based models is in the fan size. The RTX 3090/3080 series have one 80mm and two 90mm fans, whereas the RTX 3070 card features three 80mm fans.
When it comes to power requirements, the GA102 models are both dual 8-pin, while GA104 is powered by a 6+8-pin configuration.
The GIGABYTE VISION series are designed for content creators, the manufacturer suggests installing NVIDIA Studio Drivers. These drivers are meant for creative work where relatability is more important than the latest patches for games.
The RTX 3080 VISION OC is currently listed in the US stores for 770 USD (+70 USD over NVIDIA 3080 MSRP).
