Gigabyte CMP 30HX
It has been almost two weeks since the NVIDIA CMP mining series was supposed to go on sale, yet we have not really seen them appearing on retailers’ websites. The reasons why exactly are unknown, but we have heard that CMP cards are built to order, which may explain why AIBs themselves are reluctant to even acknowledge that such graphics cards exist.
Yet, some retailers have begun listing these cards. In Romania, one of the retailers is now offering the Gigabyte CMP 30HX model. It is the same that we leaked weeks ago. The card is listed at 2,975 RON which is around 720 USD.
What customers should really consider before buying is a very short warranty period on these cards. During the last mining craze when Pascal models were released it was common for such cards to have a very limited warranty of 3 months. It appears that the new CMP HX series based on Turing and Ampere series will be no exception. This, along with the lack of display connectors, greatly reduces the value of these cards on the second-hand market.
The Gigabyte CMP 30HX is based on Turing TU116-100 GPU with 1408 CUDA cores. This model features 6GB of GDDR6 memory and has a boost clock of 1785 MHz. It is powered through a single 8-pin power connector.
