Intel Core i7-11700K on sale early

Mindfactory already offering Core i7-11700K.

The retailer is currently offering Core i7-11700K “Rocket Lake-S” processor ahead of launch. The page is not a preorder, and the item can be purchased directly. The Core i7-11700K is an unlocked processor that has not yet been officially introduced by Intel. Well, as it turns out that Mindvactory already has the CPU in stock.

The Core i7-11700K is an 8-core and 16-thread CPU that will offer full PCI Gen4 support, newer Cypress Cove architecture, and more importantly.. a new packaging. The packaging alone confirms that this is not a placeholder, but an actual retail Rocket Lake-S CPU.

The processor has been put on sale for 469 EUR, which is 152 EUR more than Core i7-10700K listed in the same store. The price of 11700K nearly matches the current flagship (10900K) which costs 473 EUR. The price includes 19% German VAT.

Intel is now expected to introduce its 11th Gen Core series on March 16th, with reviews and sales now planned for March 30th.
