DLSSTweaks enables DLAA in DLSS games

With the release of the DLSS 3.1 SDK, software developers have begun working on new mods for NVIDIA super sampling tech.

NVIDIA DLAA (Deep Learning Antialiasing) is basically the DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) without the upscaling part. It takes advantage of the the the same algorithm to improve the details in each frame, the same way conventional antialiasing techniques do, except with the power of AI.

The DLAA technology improves image quality for games that already run great on existing hardware. This is why it is typically seen in games that do not require powerful GPUs, however in some cases gamers may prefer locking the framerate and seeing games at in higher fidelity rather than with increased framerate.

Unfortunately, DLAA support is limited only to some games, but there are instances where developers add DLAA support regardless of how well it runs on current hardware, the most recent example being Hogwarts Legacy. In total, there are 17 games that support DLAA, and you can find the full list here. For any other game, the DLSSTweaks plugin might help.

This plugin force DLAA mode for DLSS games that currently do not support this technology. Furthermore, it also supports the new DLSS 3.1 profiles, so there is definitely some field for fine-tuning for each game.

The most recent update brought hooks for Vulkan API functions, which should enable support for Vulkan games (such as Doom series), however this has not been tested yet. As of now, there are 17 games that are known to work with the mod.

Games confirmed to working:

  • Dying Light 2
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider
  • Judgment
  • Lost Judgment
  • Death Stranding
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 (rename to XInput9_1_0.dll)
  • Plague Tale Requiem (UE4)
  • Chernobylite (UE4)
  • Ghostwire Tokyo (UE4)
  • God of War
  • Uncharted 4
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Deathloop
  • Ready Or Not (UE4)
  • HITMAN 3
  • Nioh 2

Games not supported:

  • FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch
  • Mortal Shell
  • Minecraft Bedrock Edition (DLAA causes screen cut in half)

Gamers who wish to try this plugin can now download it from GitHub, but bear in mind it requires a configuration file to be modified first. Furthermore, it is recommended not to use this plugin with any game that has anti-cheating software.
