GALAX to unveil a new RTX 40(90?) GPU tomorrow
The company is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The company has unveiled a new series of high-end PCIe Gen5 SSDs to celebrate its 20th anniversary. While an official release date hasn’t been announced yet, there have been numerous teasers regarding these products. Notably, this anniversary celebration will also include a special edition of the GeForce RTX 40 card.
GALAX, originally established in 1994 as “Galaxtech” in Hong Kong, a subsidiary of Galaxy Microsystems Ltd, now operates in various countries under different brand names. The company also owns Gainward, KFA2, and XpertVision. However, its primary focus currently centers on the Chinese market, where this new product is set to make its debut. The 20th anniversary is likely referring to the operation in China.
Although GALAX hasn’t provided specific details about the model being introduced, the substantial size and thickness of the cooler strongly suggest it could be none other than the RTX 4090. This design includes three to four slots and features two fans on the front side. The black rectangle on the right side is actually an open area in the front shroud, allowing air to escape from the third fan located on the opposite side. As a result, it appears to be an extension of the NVIDIA Founders Edition design, complete with an additional fan or something closely resembling the abandoned RTX 4090 Ti cooler, which featured a concealed fan within the heatsink.
According to the company, this new design will be announced in one day. GALAX has a very extensive lineup of RTX 40 cards including 80 different models. It is currently the leader of all NVIDIA board partners with 14 RTX 4090 designs and counting. You can find them all in our database.
