GALAX proudly introduces a new RTX 4090 graphics card, a special edition created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the company’s presence in the Chinese market. Although the company was founded in 1994, it began its journey in the Chinese GPU market under the GALAX brand in 2003, and this graphics card pays tribute to that milestone.

In addition, this card can be regarded as an anniversary edition for the RTX 4090 GPU itself, as it has been a year since NVIDIA’s SKU first became available. Surprisingly, even after a year, not a single RTX 4090 featured a more considerate placement for the 16-pin power connector.

It was only with the introduction of the RTX 40 series that some companies, like Inno3D, began to explore the concept of concealing the power connector entirely beneath the backplate. Galax’s engineers have adopted this approach for this model.

Fresh images, posted by CornerJack, provide a closer look at the precise location of the power connector concealment. Surprisingly, it doesn’t face the motherboard directly; instead, it permits the cable to travel alongside the card’s cooler before making a safe bend. If there is ample space to maneuver the cable, this configuration could enable a complete concealment of the cable, eliminating the need for angled 12VHPWR adapters altogether.

GALAX has not yet listed this card for sale, and there doesn’t appear to be plans for an imminent release. Undoubtedly, this special edition is destined to become a collector’s item, and it might even hold some untapped overclocking potential as indicated by the photos have shared from overclocking community.
