GALAX now offering DDR5-8000 memory

The brand-new HOF PRO series will support 7200, 7600 and 8000 MT/s XMP profiles.

The new kit is part of the GALAX HOF (Hall of Fame) series designed for extreme overclocking. Just like the HOF GPUs, the memory also features a white PCB, which is undoubtedly not a very common sight, especially on DDR5 series.

GALAX introduces three memory kits, each with 2x16GB capacity. The memory will support 7200 MT/s, 7600 MT/s and 8000 MT/s speeds through Intel XMP 3.0 profiles. Of course, there is no mention of AMD EXPO support here, but such speeds probably wouldn’t have worked with any Ryzen 7000 CPUs anyway.

GALAX confirms that 7200 MT/s kit will use 36-36-46-116 timing. The CAS Latency is identical for 7600 and 8000 MT/s kits, but tRAS goes to 122 and 128 clock cycles for faster kits respectively. Furthermore, 7600+ MT/s speed will require 1.5V, while 7200 will work at 1.45 volts.

GALAX also shares photos of the same memory but with a black PCB, so make sure to check before placing an order because there might be two color options.
