GALAX price adjustment for RTX 40/30 series

GALAX is reportedly implementing a new pricing policy for GeForce RTX 30/40series starting this month.

The report from BoardChannels, a site that shares information from insiders close to NVIDIA and AMD board partners, states that GALAX will cut the cost of some GeForce RTX cards by up to 1000 RMB.

According to the report, RTX 4080 would now be 1000 RMB cheaper (which equals to $140), while RTX 3060 should now cost up to 250 RMB less. The report also indicates that RTX 4070 will be getting a small discount of 150 to 200 RMB ($28). It is stated that the price of entry-level desktop GeForce RTX 3050 card has already been adjusted late last month by 140 RMB.

GALAX is likely just following suit by adjusting prices to the same level as other vendors. The RTX 4080 debuted at 9499 RMB last year, but has already been seen for just 7399 RMB last month. Currently, the lowest price on JD is around 8249 RMB after a price bounce a couple of weeks ago.

Gamers will probably have to wait a few weeks before there is a change in the DIY retail market price because these changes are currently being implemented on the distribution level.
