The Chinese Galax introduces four GeForce RTX 3070 models.
Galax launches four GeForce RTX 3070 models
Galax has four new models: Boomstar, Metaltop, Gamer, and Black. These custom SKUs have already been released for RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 series. All four RTX 3070 models have one thing in common: they feature triple-fan cooling solutions. These cards will also be available in non-OC variants, usually with NVIDIA reference clocks.
GALAX GeForce RTX 3070 8GB BOOMSTAR OC
The Galax RTX 3070 Boomstar OC features a boost frequency of 1785 MHz. The card is also featuring a full custom PCB, which is a lot longer than most RTX 3070 board designs that have already been shown by other manufacturers. With dual 8-pin power connectors and a default TGP of 240W, the Boomstar will be better than reference-based models.
The card features a white shroud with translucent, LED illuminated fans. This model features a standard display configuration of three DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.1.

GALAX GeForce RTX 3070 8GB METALTOP OC
The Galax RTX 3070 Metaltop OC is a custom design with 1755 MHz frequency out of the box. As the name suggests, the front shroud is made of metal (and so is the backplate). Galax’s Metaltop is a bit narrower design than Boomstar, but it still features a custom PCB, which is slightly shorter than Boomstar’s. The Metaltop OC is powered by dual 8-pin power connectors.

GALAX GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GAMER OC
The LEGO-styled GAMER is also coming to RTX 3070 series. The Gamer OC model is, in fact, the highest clocked model from Galax China with a boost clock of 1800 MHz. It appears to be using the same PCB as Boomstar with dual 8-pin power connectors and a bit wider board size.
On the side, brick compatible connectors are located, where it is possible to attach, for instance, LEGO figurines.

GALAX GeForce RTX 3070 8GB BLACK OC
Finally, we have the RTX 3070 BLACK OC. This is the only true 3-slot design in this short compilation. With a boost frequency of 1755 MHz out of the box, we are looking at 1.7% of factory-overclocking.
