Gainward launches RTX 40 Panther series
Stealthy dark design with NVIDIA’s latest graphics underneath.
Gainward has just announced two RTX 40 cards from its new Panther series. The company already has a large portfolio of GeForce GPUs, such as Phantom or Phoenix. It looks like the third series in the new lineup will also start with P.
The Panther series will feature 3.1-slot triple-fan cooling solutions with no LED lights anywhere to be found (not even a logo). We immediately see the resemblance to the Palit Jetstream series, which has the same theme going on, but the cards do look different. This theme is dark and minimalistic design, something that is not meant to be put on display or to stand out, so probably a perfect card to hide in a chassis without a window.

Both the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti Panther GPUs are using standard NVIDIA specs, there is no factory overclocking or even TGP limit increased for any of the two cards. This is probably as close one gets to Gainward reference design. The Panther series features a standard display connector layout with three DP 1.4 and one HDMI 2.1. There is also one 16-pin power connector on both cards.

Gainward confirms Panther cards have ‘Cyclone Fans’ with increased airflow. These push the air to a large heatsink attached to a large cooper base that covers both the GPU and memory. There is also a protection (support) plate to prevent the cards from sagging.
The company did not confirm pricing or release date for Panther GPUs, but first retailers have already started listing the cards.
