MSI RTX 4060 ready for launch

NVIDIA announced earlier this month three new cards: the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB, the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB, and the RTX 4060 8GB models. The last two haven’t been released yet, and they’re waiting for launch somewhere in July.

It is evident that board partners were aware of the RTX 4060 non-Ti SKUs launch, and in fact, many have already announced first custom models but without providing further details. MSI was one of such companies that announced as many as 8 different RTX 4060 Ti 8GB cards, but there was no sign of RTX 4060 cards yet.

Turns out, the first MSI RTX 4060 card is already on a show floor at the MSI Computex booth. The card was captured and hopefully stolen for testing  (joke) by HardwareUnboxed who are attending the popular tech fair in Taipei. What is interesting about this picture is that this is actually the first real photograph of the GPU that is not set to launch until July.

Unsurprisingly, the Ventus 2X black card looks identical to RTX 4060 Ti 8GB SKU. This is a small card with two fans that could just as well fit into the Mini-ITX form factor if it was a single fan design. MSI did not confirm the clocks for their card, but there is still a lot of time to finalize the specs for this factory-OC’ed card.

According to our information, the RTX 4060 non-Ti should launch in the first half of July. NVIDIA already confirmed that the MSRP will be $299, but this model featuring OC will likely cost more.
