Evil Within series free on Epic Game Store

The Evil Within and The Evil Within 2 are survival horror video games developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. These games are or will soon be out for grabs on Epic Game Store.

The Evil Within was released in 2014 and directed by Shinji Mikami, the creator of the Resident Evil series. The game received praise for its visuals, atmosphere and gameplay, but some criticism for its story and characters. The game features five difficulty modes, a crafting system, and a customization system that allows players to upgrade Sebastian’s abilities and weapons. The game also has three DLCs that expand on the story and gameplay.

Evil Within & Evil Within 2

The Evil Within 2 was released in 2017 and directed by John Johanas, who worked on the DLCs of the first game. The game received generally positive reviews, and improved on many aspects of the first game, such as the map design, the stealth mechanics, and the narrative. The game also added a first-person perspective option in a free update. The game continues Sebastian’s journey as he tries to rescue his daughter Lily from the world of Union, a new STEM environment.
