EVGA flagship RTX 3090 Ti GPU needs two 16-pin power connectors

Despite the introduction of the new PCIe Gen5 600W power connector, there are graphics cards that already require two such cables.

But the fact is, neither GALAX HOF nor EVGA Kinpin are a daily-use gaming GPUs. These cards are designed for extreme overclocking. However, given how expensive graphics cards are these days, a few hundred dollars more shouldn’t make much of a difference.

The RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin Hybrid was first shown in January, just shortly before NVIDIA pushed back the release date to late March. Today, Vince Lucido was finally allowed to show the graphics card in full, confirming it is indeed a complete custom and hybrid design.

Although the AIO cooler was not pictured, it would be surprising if this model did not include 360mm radiator, just as the original RTX 3090 Kingpin model did. Similarly to the predecessor, it comes with an OLED panel displaying monitoring data as well as animated GIFs. The card also has dual 16-pin power connectors located at the rear. This is also where voltage measurement points are located.

The pricing and availability dates are not yet known. Vince teases some 3DMark testing in the near future, and this might be the perfect graphics card to achieve new world records.
