Colorful enters extreme overclocking scene with RTX 4090 iGame LAB
A special edition of the RTX 4090 GPU is coming. Chinese Colorful have now showcased their upcoming RTX 4090 LAB graphics card designed specifically for one purpose: overclocking.
The Colorful RTX 4090 iGame LAB is a limited edition (only 300 units will be made) designed for overclockers. The name of the product is RTX 4090 iGame LAB, but one should note that there is already a very similar looking iGame Vulcan GPU in white. The LAB is basically a work of Colorful’s in-house overclocking team, so this should be considered a higher tier model.
The card is based on NVIDIA’s flagship desktop model, the RTX 4090 with AD102 GPU, 24GB GDDR6X memory and. According to Colorful, this card can be overclocked up to 515W power limit, which is not the highest limit at all.

With no RTX 4090 iGame KUDAN in sight, the iGame LAB is set to earn its placed on the overclocking scene. It will compete with GPUs like the GALAX HOF series. This card only has one 16-pin power connector, so even if there was a XOC (eXtreme OC BIOS), which is typically the case with overclocking cards, it will not go hither than 600W.

A brief look at the official specs confirms it has the same power limit and the same clock (2625 MHz boost) as iGame Vulcan White. Both cards are practically the same bar some stickers. So, the only real difference is binning. According to the product description, the GPUs that were chosen for the LAB series were “specially selected by iGame Laboratory through multiple rigorous tests”.
