Colorful expanding Ultra Z series to RTX 4060
The Ultra Z series introduces a concealed power connector located beneath a metallic backplate.
In July, Colorful unveiled the Ultra Z series, an extension of its popular iGame Ultra White series. The Ultra as a whole includes a diverse range of designs, boasting at least four distinctive variants, equipped with either two or three fans and featuring hidden power connectors. The RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 models are joining the list of the cards featuring this design.
The company’s innovation revolves around the discreet placement of the 8-pin power connector. Traditionally, such connectors are prominently positioned on the side of the graphics card facing the chassis window. But with Ultra Z series, Colorful has opted to place the power connector fully underneath the backplate, which is securely held in place with magnets, giving users easy access to the cable whenever needed. The cable is cleverly routed to the side of the card that faces the motherboard, allowing for complete cable concealment.
The position of the connector leaves enough room for the cable to bend. This is also the standard 8-pin PCI connector, so the risk of cable overheating due to increased bending is theoretically lower than using higher wattage connectors.

Colorful’s Ultra Z series comprises three distinct models, all sharing an identical triple-fan cooler design measuring 31.3 x 18.9 cm. The primary differentiator among these models lies in their thickness, which ranges from 48 to 50.5 mm, and their weight, varying between 1.12 and 0.98 kg, depending on the specific SKU.
While the RTX 4060 (Ti) Ultra Z models are not currently available for purchase, they are officially listed on Colorful’s website, suggesting that their launch is imminent.
