Colorfire launches B760M MEOW motherboard

The LGA1700 platform invaded by cats.

Expanding the MEOW series, we’re now witnessing the debut of the motherboard designed for the Intel LGA1700 socket. This fresh addition is built upon the B760 chipset and caters to budget-conscious systems that seek a visual uplift.

As a reminder, Colorfire operates as a subbrand under Colorful’s umbrella. The brand was originally employed for AMD-based products, but has been brought back to for new products which wouldn’t fit really Colorful’s premium gamer aesthetics. Instead, we are getting more products, predominantly graphics cards with uncommon color pallets like pink or mint.

Recently, Colorfire introduced a new series called MEOW which employs a color scheme of white and orange, and an alternative SHADOW PURPLE variant presents itself with a blend of black and purple aesthetics.

The company has just announced its first Micro-ATX motherboard called B760M MEOW WIFI D5 which boasts a full-sized PCIe x16 slot and an additional x4 slot. It features four DDR5-compatible memory slots. As previously mentioned, motherboard manufacturers are currently transitioning their focus to the DDR5 standard, making it a logical choice for this new design. According to the reports, this board can accommodate speeds of up to 7000 MT/s and can support a capacity of 48GB per slot, resulting in a maximum of 192GB.

Moreover, the board incorporates a 12+1 phase VRM power delivery system, along with three M.2 slots and four SATA 6Gbps ports. The networking capabilities include 2.5G Ethernet courtesy of a Realtek chip and Intel Wi-Fi 6 wireless connectivity.

As shown, the MEOW motherboard seamlessly matches the recently introduced GeForce RTX 4060 / 4060 Ti MEOW GPUs. It wouldn’t be entirely surprising if Colorful had plans for its black and purple Shadow Purple design at some point in the future.

The B760M MEOW is now available on JD retail platform in China with a price tag of 1099 RMB ($152).
