Intel Core i7-13790F tested in CPU-Z

Two leakers have provided some new details on this brand-new Intel Core CPU.

Just a day after first retailers mentioned this new processor, we now have the price, partial specs and first benchmark figures.

As mentioned before, the Core i5-13490F and Core i7-13790F are two 65W processors to be sold exclusively in China. These are special edition models that ship in a distinctive black boxes and have slightly modified specs compared to globally available models.

The Core i7-13790F is now confirmed to be 16-core processor with 8 Performance and 8 Efficient cores. This is the same configuration as i7-13700F. Even the max turbo clocks for Performance and Efficient cores are the same, at 5.2 GHz and 4.1 GHz respectively.

The main difference between both models is the L3 cache size, which is bigger on the 13790F. According to official specs and what the CPU-Z screenshot revealed, this processor has 33MB of L3 cache, so 3MB more than 13700F.

Performance wise, the 13790F scores 836 points in single-thread CPU-Z benchmark and 12139.8 in multi-threaded workload. Sadly, there aren’t many reviews for i7-13700F available right now, so the comparison is complicated at the moment. However, it appears to be just slightly faster in both metrics, you can find 13700F CPU-Z scores here.

The CPU is now listed at 2999 RMB, which directly converts to 441 USD, however if we compare this price to 2899 RMB for 13700F which has a US MSRP of $359, this would convert into something like $371. So for people buying from abroad this would a more expensive processor to get, but for domestic customers, not so much.
