ASUS has officially introduced a new white ROG STRIX model.

At the 2020 ROG DAY event, ASUS unveiled new products inspired by an anime series called GUNDAM. The manufacturer announced multiple products based on the series such as monitors, cases, routers, keyboards, and graphics cards. ASUS is launching at least three GPU models: ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 3090 GUNDAM, GTX 1660 SUPER TUF GUNDAM (white), GTX 1660 SUPER TUF ZAKU (black and red). We already covered the latter two, although SKUs were unknown.

The ASUS ROG STRIX OC is already the most expensive RTX 3090 model on the market. The new subvariant is a limited edition, which will only be sold in Asia. That said, the ROG STRIX RTX 3090 GUNDAM will officially retail at 16,999 Yuans (2,530 USD), which is even more than the original ROG STRIX (official US price is 1,799 USD).

The GUNDAM model features a new white shroud and backplate, there no other visible changes to the design. It is expected to feature the same clock speed of 1890 MHz (+195 MHz), 3-pin power connectors, and a maximum power limit of 480W. The card features a triple-fan and triple-slot design.

NVIDIA officially launched GeForce RTX 3090 on September 24th, yet these cards are very hard to buy, so we cannot imagine how hard would it be to buy a limited GUNDAM edition in China.
