The boost clock of the RTX 3080 graphics card from ASUS is 1935 MHz, the highest clock speed of all RTX 3080 models so far.
ASUS finally reveals the clock speed of its ROG STRIX RTX 3080 OC
While ASUS revealed the clock speed of the non-OC model almost 2 weeks ago, the data for the OC model was missing. Yesterday the manufacturer finally confirmed that its flagship model for the RTX 3080 series will be clocked at 1905 MHz out of the box (in Gaming Mode) and up to 1935 MHz in OC Mode. The OC mode requires ASUS GPU Tweak software to be installed.
For comparison, the STRIX 3080 non-OC model is clocked at 1695 MHz (Gaming) and 1725 MHz (OC Mode). It is worth noting that a boost clock under 1710 MHz means that the card is running under a reference clock speed of 1710 MHz.
This might, however, not be the fastest card yet. ASUS is also developing a TOP model, as revealed by EEC listing. Considering that the OC model is already running at a very high clock and how often EEC listings are filled with models that are never released, the OC model may end up as the fastest RTX 3080 ASUS.
Meanwhile, other brands are still working on their top tier series. For instance, Gigabyte has still not confirmed the clock speeds for its AORUS (Xtreme and Master) models. Another interesting thing to consider is the upcoming RTX 3080 20GB. According to early information, custom RTX3080 20GB series might end up with slightly higher clock speeds, as AIBs simply have more time to adjust their production.
ASUS ROG STRIX series is still not available for sale, but some retailers offer them through preorders with hefty price tags over other brands. The shipping dates are not yet confirmed.
