ASUS RTX 4090 EVANGELION graphics card debuts in China
The special ROG STRIX model inspired by Evangelion anime.
Two months ago ASUS announced a new collection of ROG PC components and peripherals inspired by the popular anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. The collection, called ROG Evangelion 2, features a design based on EVA-02 and Asuka, two of the main characters from the show. The collection includes a motherboard, a graphics card, a gaming case, a cooler, a keyboard, and a mouse, all with the distinctive red and black color scheme and the Evangelion logo.
The highlight of the collection is the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC EVA-02 Edition, a graphics card that boasts the latest NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture with AD102 GPU. The card has 24GB of GDDR6X memory. The card also has a custom shroud and backplate with intricate details, as well as an ARGB panel that mimics the synchronization effect from the anime.
This model has just made its debut in China with a price of 17,999 RMB (2,480 USD) and it is now available for preorder. The card is to start shipping on September 5th.
The card is paired with Evangelion ROG Maximus Z790 motherboard, which supports 12th Gen, 13th Gen and most likely upcoming 14th Gen Core processors from INtel. The motherboard has a red PCB and heatsinks, as well as an EVA-02 badge and an ARGB strip.
The collection also includes the ROG Hyperion gaming case, which has 420mm dual radiator support, four 140mm fans, a metal GPU holder, component storage, an ARGB fan hub, and 60W fast charging. The case has a sleek design with a tempered glass side panel and an EVA-02 logo on the front. The case also supports Aura Sync for customizable lighting effects.
