ASUS to launch Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT TUF GPUs in two colors
AMD’s newest GPU gets a custom flavor from ASUS.
ASUS has prematurely unveiled its Radeon TUF models based on the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT SKUs today. Both cards share the same Navi 32 GPU platform, albeit with distinct configurations. ASUS has chosen to employ the same cooling technology for both models, with likely minimal alterations.
It’s worth noting that the RX 7700 XT consumes 245W of power, while the RX 7800 XT requires slightly more at 263W. This relatively small power difference appears to have led ASUS to opt for a shared cooling solution, which makes sense from design and price perspectives.

While ASUS has previously released TUF gaming cards in various color schemes such as white, red, blue, yellow, and more, this marks the first instance of a full-white design that isn’t tied to any particular game theme.

ASUS has confirmed that their new TUF design will be thinner than RX 7900 XT models, but not much thinner. Instead of 3.63-slot design, this model employs a 2.96-slot design.

In terms of specifications, the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT boasts 3840 Stream Processors and 16GB of GDDR6 memory, whereas the RX 7700 XT features 3540 cores and 12GB of GDDR6 memory. Both of these cards are slated for a September 6 release. ASUS is yet to confirm the clock speeds.
