ASUS NUC ROG incoming

ASUS is said to be working on a new ROG branded NUC systems, after taking the responsibility for the series from Intel.

Intel has recently announced that it is discontinuing investment in its NUC product line and transferring all assets to ASUS. As a result, ASUS will now take charge of supporting existing systems and developing future-generation NUC products. One of these upcoming products is rumored to be part of the ROG family.

The reports suggest that ASUS is actively working on integrating the next-gen Intel Core Ultra Meteor Lake CPU series, possibly paired with the GeForce RTX 40 GPU, like the RTX 4070. To achieve this, ASUS is drawing inspiration from the NUC 13 Extreme system, which already sported ASUS RTX 3080 Ti TUF graphics in the review coverage. The collaboration between Intel and ASUS has evidently been developing for some time.

The next-gen NUC by ASUS is expected to feature a hybrid cooling solution, combining both liquid and air cooling methods for the CPU. However, there is no information available yet regarding the pricing or release date of this system. It is likely that we won’t see any official announcements until Intel introduces its Meteor Lake CPU series later this year.
