ASUS preparing Radeon RX 590 ROG STRIX graphics card

We have just received a word from our spies at ASUS HQ.

ASUS Radeon RX 590 ROG STRIX Gaming

The information came from the same source that told us about AREZ brand before it went live. Our source claim that ASUS is bringing back ROG STRIX brand for Radeon RX series. The RX 590 graphics card will clearly feature 8GB memory as indicated by the product code.

It does appear that the Radeon RX590 will indeed be a refresh of Polaris architecture (judging from 2000 MHz/8Gbps memory clock).

We are not sure what will happen to AREZ brand, but the ROG STRIX model is clearly in the works, so the ‘GPP brand’ might be axed soon.

Just few days ago, an entry at 3DMark database has been discovered. It lists higher clocks than RX 580 models, which might indicate higher power efficiency and therefore 12nm node shrink,
