ASUS and MSI release their reference Big Navi GPUs

Just a week away from the official launch of the Radeon RX 6800 series, both ASUS and MSI have unveiled their reference-based models. As expected, the manufacturers revealed two SKUs: Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800, both based on the same Navi 21 GPU featuring AMD RDNA2 architecture.

There are no visual changes to the design of the cards. Unlike Biostar and Gigabyte, ASUS and MSI will not be applying stickers to their cards. That said, the only customization made by both companies ends on the packaging design.

AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT features Navi 21 XT GPU with 72 Compute Units offering 4608 Stream Processors in total. The graphics card is equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 memory and 128MB of Infinity Cache. With a boost clock of 2250 MHz, the graphics card will offer a theoretical maximum single-precision performance of 20.7 TFLOPs.

The Radeon RX 6800 non-XT features Navi 21 XL GPU with 60 CUs enabled. This means a total of 3840 Stream Processors and a compute performance of up to 16.2 TFLOPs (this SKU has a boost clock of 2105 MHz). The RX 6800 is also equipped with 16GB GDDR6 memory.

AMD is set to launch its Radeon RX 6800 series on November 18th. The price of RX 6800XT has been set to 649 USD, while the non-XT model will retail at 579 USD. There is a good chance that this will be the pricing of the cards pictured below.
