ASRock finally unveils its Radeon RX 6800 series
ASRock got us worried because the manufacturer did not release its Navi 21-based graphics cards since the last week. The manufacturer is relatively new to the graphics cards space, so it wouldn’t hurt to confirm they are also planning to make next-generation Radeon models.
However, today ASRock finally unveiled its RX 6800 XT and RX 6800. Both cards are reference-based with no sight on Phantom Gaming or Taichi series (yet). It does not seem like ASRock has added any customization to their MBA (reference) cards. Gigabyte, for instance, will apply stickers with its logo.
ASRock will launch reference models of RX 6800 XT and RTX 6800 graphics cards, both featuring standard clock speeds and configurations. These cards feature 72 and 60 Compute Units respectively and offer 16GB of GDDR6 memory.
Bar the difference in Stream Processors, RX 6800XT features a thicker cooler design compared to 6800 non-XT. The XT ship with a 2.5 slot design and cooler capable of dissipating 300W of power, while the non-XT has a pure 2-slot design and 200W requirement.
