AMD Zen4 in late 2022?
A new rumor suggests that AMD Zen4 architecture may launch later than expected.
According to @sepeuwmjh who had previously leaked a part of the AMD roadmap, Zen4 architecture should now be expected in 2H 2022. This leaker has been especially active in relation to Raphael leaks, which is a codenamed for upcoming AMD architecture featuring both Zen4 cores as well as Navi2 integrated GPU.
It is said that Zen4 Raphael is to be announced in the third quarter of 2020 with the launch expected a month or two later. It certainly does not seem that AMD Zen4 is not coming this year, which puts a doubt on rumors that Warhol has been canceled. After all, AMD would be left without any response to the Intel Alder Lake series, which is a substantial technological upgrade.

Both Warhol and Raphael had appeared on a roadmap that was being revealed piece by piece by a leaker “MebiuW”. While the leaker has been reluctant to share the whole roadmap, other leakers have started sharing those missing parts. This is how Raphael emerged just a few weeks ago.

While the existence of Warhol and Raphael has never been confirmed by AMD, they have been mentioned by multiple parties (media and leakers) either directly or through their own contacts. While both codenames allegedly do appear on a roadmap, it is still unclear if AMD introduced changes to those roadmaps. After all, as we know the original roadmap slide originated in early 2020.

Officially we only know that Zen4 will use 5nm process technology and it should launch by 2022. AMD latest roadmap does not go into detail in explaining when exactly is Zen4 happening, nor whether it refers to Ryzen or EPYC series.
