AMD RX 6750 GRE: another Golden Rabbit Edition

Reports from China indicate AMD will be releasing another GRE model exclusively for the Chinese market.

Reports suggest that the Radeon RX 6750 is gearing up to make an entrance with another GRE model. The acronym GRE, in this context, stands for Golden Rabbit Edition, a special variant designed to commemorate the Chinese New Year. These graphics card series is mainly for the Chinese market, where it is to become available through the DIY market. Interestingly, this isn’t the first GRE GPU from AMD; just last month, AMD unveiled the Radeon RX 7900 GRE, an exclusive offering tailored for the Chinese DIY market, albeit also available in prebuilt systems outside of China.

According to information from 小敌鸽 (Little Enemy Pigeon), the RX 6750 GRE is rumored to deliver performance akin to the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, a SKU retailing at 399 USD or 3199 RMB. However, what is even more interesting is that the RX 6750 GRE is said to bear a price tag matching that of the RTX 4060, which is 299 USD or 2399 RMB.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that this card will represent an upgraded version of the RX 6750 XT, although details have not been disclosed. As the RX 6750 XT already boasts a full Navi 22 GPU with 2560 Stream Processors, a logical upgrade path could involve the use of a potentially defective Navi 21 GPU with fewer cores than the 3840 found in the RX 6800 non-XT, or perhaps an increased GPU clock speed. If this model opts for the Navi 21 silicon, it could also offer a 256-bit memory bus with an 8GB capacity, mirroring the capacity of RTX 4060 series.

This information reportedly originates from Yeston, a company that manufactures both Radeon and GeForce GPUs, including the latest RDNA3 and ADA models. However, it remains to be seen whether this SKU will be exclusive to specific brands, similar to what occurred with the RX 7900 GRE (XFX, Sapphire, and PowerColor).
