AMD and Bethesda team up for Starfield launch
The company has announced it will be an exclusive launch partner for the upcoming sci-fi exploration game Starfield.
The vast universe created by the developers of Starfield will soon be enhanced using AMD technology. AMD and Bethesda are working together to bring cutting-edge graphics technologies for the game at launch.
The partnership was announced by Todd Howard (Starfield Game Director) and Jack Huynh (AMD GM of CGG) and it confirmed that the game will be optimized for Ryzen 7000 and Radeon 7000 series at launch.
Furthermore, it is confirmed that Starfield will support FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 on day one, which is an important announcement, but disappointing considering that AMD should have released a newer version of its upscaling at this point.
Nevertheless, it is an important partnership for AMD, for one of 2023’s most anticipated games this year.
Today, AMD and Bethesda Softworks announced an exclusive partnership bringing powerful optimizations and graphical features to Starfield, the first new universe in twenty-five years from legendary game developers Bethesda Game Studios.
Leading up to the launch of the highly anticipated title on September 6, AMD and Bethesda are working closely together to deliver exceptional performance and stunning visuals to the expansive universe of Starfield on Xbox consoles, as well as on gaming PCs powered by Ryzen 7000 Series processors and Radeon 7000 Series graphics.
In addition, gamers will be able to take advantage of advanced AMD features and technologies that deliver a truly immersive gaming experience, including the advanced cross-platform AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 upscaling technology.
To celebrate this partnership, Starfield Executive Game Director, Todd Howard, joined AMD SVP & GM, Computing and Graphics Group, Jack Huynh, in a video showcasing how the partnership will thrill and delight gamers by delivering an immersive, transformational experience in Starfield.
