AMD claims to have broken another record with Threadripper 7000

Elmor, Der8auer and Shamino worked together to break a new world record.

Just one day has passed since the official lifting of the performance embargo for AMD’s latest High-End Desktop (HEDT)/workstation series, Threadripper 7000. Overclockers have been working hard for over a month to push the limits of these AMD processors.

The Threadripper PRO 7995WX, the highest SKU in this series, has become the preferred choice among overclockers. This preference comes from its impressive configuration of 96 Zen4 cores and full overclocking support. Overclockers have experimented with air-coolers, liquid cooling, and later liquid nitrogen, paired with high-end TRX50 motherboards and a fair amount of patience, leading to numerous world records.

Notably, the latest achievement in Cinebench R23 multi-core boasts a remarkable 201,501 points, as achieved by the Elmor OC team. This world record propels AMD’s TR overclocking results even further, surpassing the performance of overclocked Intel’s flagship Xeon W9-3495X by 52%, while still consuming less power (1600W vs. 1880W).
