Several AMD Ryzen AM4/AM5 CPUs get cheaper

Our price tracker has just sent alerts on the following Amazon deals. Several popular Ryzen processors have been heavily discounted, often marking the lowest price on the platform.

Two weeks ago, we reported that Ryzen 7 5800X3D is now sold at $289, with only one offer going for $279. That offer only applies to in-store pickup, meaning the vast majority of customers can’t buy it at that price. Turns out, Amazon has just lowered the price of this 8-core CPU with 3D V-Cache to nearly the same price ($280). This is currently the lowest price for this CPU at all major retailers.

But that’s not all. The 8-core Ryzen 7 7700X is now available at $289, while the 12-core Ryzen 9 7900 marks $379 price for the first time. Those are the most important price changes for Ryzen CPUs at Amazon.

However, one just cannot not mention the 12-core Ryzen 9 7900X3D now available at $520. This CPU has dropped to $534 just two weeks ago, so the current price is actually even lower. The same applies to 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X which has now dropped below $530.

All four CPUs were discounted at the same time, clearly indicating that this was a planned price change by the retailer. However, it is unclear if other retailers are to follow suit.
