AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D for 800 euro
A French retailer has become the first to take preorders for AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs.
The upcoming 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X3D is now available to preorder at Rue du Commerce in France. The retailer asks €800 for the flagship model, but there is no trace of 12 and 8-core CPUs in sight.
It is worth noting that the official MSRP is $699, but AMD did not disclose the European pricing yet. However, this could actually be the MSRP for this model, as Ryzen 9 7950X launched at €849 in Europe as USD/EUR exchange rates were at their peak. That said, €800 seems plausible.

According to the product listing, this CPU will be available for delivery on March 16th, which may suggest that this particular retailer won’t have stock at launch (February 28th). As a reminder, only 7950X3D and 7900X3D will be available this month, with 7800X3D to launch a few weeks later.
The full Ryzen 7000X3D series are to feature three models: 16-core 7950X3D, 12-core 7900X3D and 8-core 7800X3D. These processors are equipped with additional 3D V-Cache memory which extends the total L3 cache of each SKU. The 7950X3D, for instance, will now get additional 64MB of cache, which is expected to boost gaming performance.
