AMD desktop CPUs get cheaper by the day
AMD Raphael pricing just keeps getting better, 16-core CPU now at $569.
Another day, another discount for AMD Ryzen 7000 series. Just 2 days ago, Amazon implemented a $10 coupon for Ryzen 5 7600X, effectively lowering the price of 6-core Zen4 CPU to $239. Today retailers are implementing a new price for 16-core variant as well.
The Ryzen 9 7950X CPU is now available for $568.99 and this price is not limited to one retailer. This not a record low price, but it is as low as it has been in over a month. You can find this price at Amazon or Newegg, but not yet on AMD official store:

Since we now have confirmed prices for AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 7900/7700/7600 CPUs (expected to be $429, $329 and $229 respectively), one might wonder if those prices will stay valid for long.
But the problem for Ryzen 7000 series is no longer pricing of the processors, but the whole platform itself. The 600-series motherboards are not cheap and so is the necessary upgrade to DDR5 memory. If AMD can solve this issue quickly with their partners and memory suppliers, then Ryzen 7000 pricing may finally stabilize. If not, we might have to report on another discount very soon.
