AMD’s best gaming CPU gets massively discounted for the “11.11” shopping festival

The annual “11.11” shopping festival is the first major pre-holiday event with heavily reduced prices, some of which are later adopted by global retail channels.

The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is poised to see a significant price drop, now going for 2599 RMB (or 2529 RMB with all retail-specific discounts factored in). This new price is notably lower than its initial launch price of 3299 RMB ($449 in US) when it made its debut in April. This price reduction is part of the upcoming 11.11 shopping festival, a major event in China where various e-commerce platforms offer substantial discounts on everyday products and PC hardware.

Despite the festival not officially starting just yet, the 7800X3D promotion is set to kick off later today. This is important because it provides Chinese gamers with more time to purchase these CPUs at a reduced cost. The importance of this promotion is further underscored when we consider what occurred last year with the initial wave of discounts on Ryzen 7000 processors, which also began in China. From that point onward, AMD AM5 CPUs gradually became more affordable.

The 11.11 festival, organized by the official AMD store, serves as a strong indicator of what gamers can anticipate in other regions for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which are still a month away. Presently, the 7800X3D is priced at $369, but it was already available at $349 earlier in October. Consequently, it is reasonable to expect even greater discounts next month.

According to TechPowerUP review, the 7800X3D is not only faster than Intel’s newest flagship Core i9-14900K at 1080p and 1440p resolution, it also consumes significantly less power. For gamers on a budget, this is great news and 7800X3D getting even cheaper the choice should be clear.
