AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D officially launches on April 20th at 449 USD, six new Ryzen 5000/4000 CPUs announced

AMD’s last major push for the AM4 socket: 5800X3D and six other Ryzen CPUs

Today, AMD finally confirms the launch date of its first consumer processors with 3D V-Cache. 

The 8-core and 16-thread Ryzen 7 5800X3D with built-in 96MB of 3D V-Cache officially launches on April 20th with a price tag of 449 USD. Today’s official price of this and six other CPUs matches the information that we posted last week.

In total there are seven new SKUs being announced today: 5800X3D, three Ryzen 5000 CPUs and three Ryzen 4000. Most of them were mentioned on our site before.

The 8-core Ryzen 7 5700X will retail at 299 USD. This CPU has identical specs of 3.4/4.6 GHz to the Ryzen 7 5800 which is available to system integrators only. AMD will also be releasing three six-core parts, all with SMT enabled:

• Ryzen 5 5600: $199
• Ryzen 5 5500: $159
• Ryzen 5 4600G: $154
• Ryzen 5 4500: $129

This means AMD will now have 4 new 6-core CPUs under 200 USD, with the cheapest options as Ryzen 5 4500 at 129 USD. This is a Renoir-X (Zen2) part with missing integrated GPU. Based on the same silicon is AMD’s cheapest CPU being announced today: Ryzen 3 4100 with 4-cores and boost up to 4.0 GHz. This part will retail at 99 USD.

Not all rumored parts were announced today, the list of missing SKUs: Ryzen 7 5700, Ryzen 3 5100, Ryzen 7 4700. Those could be announced next month.
