AMD first consumer CPU with 3D V-Cache leaves the factory
The company is expected to launch its new Ryzen processor by the end of this month.
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D is the upcoming 8-core and 16-thread CPU for AM4 socket. This CPU is based on Vermeer-X architecture which is part of the Zen3 desktop product family. So far this is the only part to feature AMD’s latest technology called 3D V-Cache which is essentially a large Level 3 cache installed right on top of the compute chiplet.
According to Greymon55, who has a solid reputation when it comes to AMD hardware leaks, Ryzen 7 5800X3D has just left the packaging factory and it should become available by the end of this month.
58X3D has been shipped and will probably be on the market by the end of this month.

Thus far AMD has not provided any release date for its new CPU series, however it was noted that it will arrive in spring this year, which starts on March 20 and ends June 21.
AMD is claiming that its new CPU is able to compete with Intel’s latest 12th Gen Core i9-12900K processor, which is the currently top SKU in the Alder Lake product lineup. However, Intel is also preparing an even faster CPU called i9-12900KS, which is essentially a pre-binned chip with a maximum boost clock of 5.5 GHz. One thing is clear though, the competition in the high-end CPU market has never been this fierce.
