AMD plans to sell its 7500F processor exclusively in China at this time. This processor is the first Ryzen CPU designed for the new AM5 socket and does not include integrated graphics. Previous Ryzen 7000 CPUs have all featured RDNA2 graphics support thanks to the built-in functionality of the I/O die.
While the integrated graphics of the previous CPUs were not particularly powerful, with only 2 Compute Units, they could still be useful during system installation when a discrete GPU is not yet available in the system. The Ryzen 7000F series requires a dedicated GPU, but most users were likely planning to add a graphics card anyway.
The 6-core Ryzen 5 7500F has similar specifications to the Ryzen 5 7600, but reportedly operates at a clock speed 100 MHz lower and does not have a built-in GPU. According to motherboard manufacturers, these CPUs should still operate within a 65W TDP.
Since AMD is looking into reusing partially broken Ryzen CPUs for the 7000F series, chances are we might be seeing more parts appearing soon. AMD also offers 8, 12 and 16 core variants, all of which may appear with GPU disabled at some point.
It is worth noting that the photo displayed above is from South Korea, indicating that the exclusivity of the processor in China may not be as strict as initially anticipated. The CPU is said to be launched in China by the end of this month.
