AMD Ryzen 3000XT series with the same base clocks as “X” variants
AMD is set to introduce Matisse Refresh processors later this week. The new SKUs are slightly overclocked variants that’s will replace the current “X” models at the same price. Thus, the official MSRP for the older models will be adjusted. The 3900X will now cost 449 USD (50 USD cheaper), the 3800X will drop to 359 USD (40 USD cheaper) and 3600X will get a 25 USD price cut.
AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT is a 12-core and 24-thread processor for AM4 socket. This SKU has a base clock of 3.8 GHz and a boost clock of 4.7 GHz. This means that the XT variant is 100 MHz faster than the X model. The TDP will remain the same at 105W. It is expected to retail at 499 USD.
The Ryzen 7 3800XT is an 8-core CPU with a boost clock of 4.7 GHz, which means a 200 MHz upgrade over the current “X” model. The price of this processor is set to 399 USD.
The 6-core Ryzen 5 3600XT will cost 249 USD. This is a 100 MHz higher-clocked variant of the 3600X with a boost clock of 4.5 GHz.
The new Matisse Refresh processors will be released on July 7th. The announcement is expected either today or tomorrow.
