AMD Navi 3X GPUs as presented by PowerColor

Thanks to the leak from PowerColor, we can now take a look at the full Navi 3X lineup.

The full disclosure of the RDNA3 desktop lineup was nearly complete, with only one GPU missing – the Navi 32. However, a recent leak from PowerColor confirmed that the previously seen prototype was indeed quite similar to what AMD plans to use for its ‘enthusiast-class’ GPUs, although not entirely identical.

As of now, there are four GPUs revealed in the lineup: Navi 31 for Radeon RX 7900 XTX/XT, Navi 31 XL for Radeon RX 7900 GRE, Navi 32 for Radeon RX 7800 XT, and Navi 33 for Radeon 7600. Fortunately, PowerColor has provided a convenient glimpse of their custom designs for each of the RDNA3 GPUs. We’ve gathered these images showcasing the Red Devil and Hellhound series, offering a clear and comprehensive view of all the GPUs.

As anticipated, the Navi 32 GPU features one GCD and four MCDs. It seems that the RX 7800 XT will utilize the full implementation with all 60 Compute Units, a 256-bit memory bus, and most likely a full Infinity Cache of 64MB. Though the photographs do not offer high-quality details to precisely measure the die size, the rumored 350 mm² size appears to be quite close to reality.

Differences between Navi 32 GPUs from Forbes and PowerColor are minimal

Minor changes were observed compared to the Navi 31 showcased in the Forbes video. However, it remains uncertain whether the GPU shown by PowerColor or Forbes was a prototype. Notably, the GPU shown by PowerColor had more SMDs on one side.

It’s likely that AMD will introduce more cards soon, possibly including the RX 7700 series with a 12GB/192-bit memory configuration, but this is yet to be confirmed. AMD has not provided a final word on the matter, and the RX 7000 desktop and mobile lineups require more SKUs if AMD intends to compete with NVIDIA’s RTX 4060/4070 series.
