AMD Radeon RX 7600 launches today

The first RX 7000 graphics card to launch under $270.

The Radeon RX 7600 features a Navi 33 XL GPU with 2048 Stream Processors based on the RDNA3 architecture. This is the newest and cheapest model released this year by AMD. We are past the review embargo and there were quite many samples distributed by AMD to the media.

AMD put 8GB of GDDR6 memory on this graphics card, which may be considered insufficient by many gamers. This is especially true since the RX 7600 is close price and performance wise to the RX 6700 RDNA2 series and those cards offer more memory capacity (10-12GB). To make matters worse, the card is using 128-bit memory bus and has limited PCIe Gen4 interface to 8 lanes. This will affect performance, especially on systems using older Gen3 interface.

Each board partner has one or two custom graphics cards prepared for this launch. There is no question, however, that there are a lot more custom RTX 4060 Ti cards announced (around four times as many).

The good news is that AMD made a last-minute call to change the MSRP from $299 to $269. This is still not the best price for this card, yet it is undoubtedly better than what was originally planned. This is currently the cheapest modern graphics card on the market (unless we include Intel Arc).

The card is now available from Newegg.
