AMD Radeon RX 7600 to consume more power than predecessor

HD Tecnologia have leaked official specs of Radeon RX 7600 graphics card.

It appears that Radeon RX 7600, based on RDNA3 architecture, will have higher power requirements than its predecessor. The RX 7600 has 165W TBP (Typical Board Power) and it requires at least 550W power supply. This is an increase of 33W compared to RX 6600 GPU based on RDNA2 architecture. AMD is providing (in their reviewer’s guide) a chart describing this change:

The board power specs are not the only thing that has now been leaked. In just a few days before launch, the full specs including clocks and memory configuration have been confirmed as well. It is important to note that not all of this data is new, as AMD has already revealed the Navi 33 specs for its mobile series, but at least now we see a confirmation on a desktop variant.

The card is to ship with a 2250 MHz game clock and 2625 MHz boost clock. Those are nearly the same specs as in our GPU-Z leak, but the boost clock appears to be lower for the reference model. The card is confirmed to feature full 32 Compute Unit & 2048 Stream Processor config of Navi 33 GPU.

According to the leaked spec sheet, the card will have faster memory compared to the RX 6600. The RX 7600 is to ship with 18 Gbps GDDR6 modules, which will provide 288 GB/s of maximum bandwidth. AMD is also providing data on an effective bandwidth of 477 GB/s that accounts for Infinity Cache, but it is not much higher than RX 6600 at 413 GB/s. The memory may be faster, but the memory bus is still limited to 128 bits.

Similarly to the RX 6600, the RDNA3 successor will have an interface limited to 8 lanes. According to our information, Radeon RX 7600 officially launches on May 25th. AMD did not confirm the pricing yet.
