AMD Radeon RX 6800 drops below €400

MSI with aggressive pricing on RDNA2 desktop GPUs.

Gamers can now choose between Radeon RX 6800 featuring 16GB VRAM and GeForce RTX 4060 Ti for nearly the same price. NVIDIA mid-range GPU released last month has a MSRP of €439 in most EU countries, but this pricing has been quickly adjusted to €419 just hours later. The current price for this 8GB graphics card is around €427 for EU market.

However, an NVIDIA card might now be a hard choice because of the MSI Radeon RX 6800 Gaming Z Trio. This card has now dropped below €400 which means it is as of this moment cheaper, faster and offers twice the memory of GeForce RTX 4060 Ti.

The pricing from EU store Alternate is still an outlier with other retailers asking for €450 for the same model. Furthermore, this card is currently not in stock and the shipping date may change. On the other hand, the product can still be ordered, and it comes with a free Resident Evil 4 came coupon.

According to TechPowerUP review, the Radeon RX 6800 non-XT is at 9% to 18% faster, with performance advantage growing at higher resolutions. The 16GB VRAM is also more future-proof than 8GB of the RTX 4060 Ti, which will only get 16GB variant in July. Nevertheless, RTX GPU supports newer technologies such as DLSS3 (while AMD has no updates on their FSR3) and lower power consumption during gaming (152W vs. 235W).
