Availability of Radeon RX 6700 XT will be better, but still not great
AMD has been preparing for this launch for weeks now.
The upcoming 479 USD graphics card from AMD will see more stock at launch than other RDNA2 cards, this is a commonly repeated sentence by many journalists who have gathered information from distributors and board partners. However, just because there will be more stock, it does not mean that suddenly new cards will flood the market. On the contrary, the availability of Radeon RX 6700 XT will still be very limited, multiple sources have confirmed.
If you condense the information of various board partners and distributors to a trend, then there are, depending on the manufacturer and model, only a few pieces (for Germany) to a few thousand for the EU as a whole.

A slightly bigger number is mentioned by Red Gaming Tech, who claims that the United Kingdom (no longer part of the EU) would receive a thousand (or two) units at launch. AMD and board partners are expected to ship similarly-sized stock on a weekly basis, YouTuber claims. It is unclear why there is such a disparity between both regions (or in this case, source). Or maybe Brexit wasn’t such a bad idea after all when GPU stock is considered.
When we received the first information about Radeon RX 6700 XT from the board partners, we were told that the cards were already made and the stock was already prepared, yet AMD was withholding information when the cards will be released. It was a good sign because board partners had time to prepare for this launch. It was also good information for customers because this will be the first RDNA2 launch without exclusivity of AMD reference design. AMD confirmed that board partners will begin selling their models at the same time as AMD, which is on March 18th.
