A new picture has emerged showing Radeon RX 6700 XT in greater detail. This is a great opportunity to see how smaller the Navi 22-based model is.

A high-resolution picture of Radeon RX 6700 XT was released today by KOMACHI. This is a picture of the AMD reference model that will be offered by board partners later this month. It is already revealed that AIBs will be ready with their custom designs at launch, which means that customers may have a wider choice at launch. This was not the case at the Navi21 product launch.

The Radeon RX 6700 XT is the same length as Navi21 based models, which is 26.7 cm. It is a bit narrower though by 9.6mm, but it will retain a dual-slot cooler design from RX 6800 non-XT.

There are changes to the power delivery such as dual 8-pin power connectors have been replaced with a configuration of 6-pin and 8-pin. Those who have been following RX 6700 XT leaks, know that the first renders did show a dual 8-pin configuration. This has apparently changed and the final design has them modified. The good news is that most custom designs will offer dual 8-pins.

The 26.7 cm length is actually the same length as Pascal-based NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and Turing-based RTX 2080 Ti. AMD was eager to tell us it is time to upgrade to brand new Navi 21 graphics cards. What they didn’t tell us how is how hard it will be to purchase one. The Navi22 model will also have the same length, so it is interesting to see if AMD will do a comparison to similarly priced cards.

AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT will be unveiled later today. The product is expected to launch on March 17th.
