AMD Radeon RX 6000 pricing drops below MSRP
A year and a half in the making, the 2021-2022 GPU price trend analysis by 3DCenter finally confirms Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards at below MSRP price.
For the first time, AMD RDNA2 desktop graphics cards sold in Europe (Germany and Austria) have dropped under MSRP. The RX 6000 series on average now cost just 92% of the suggested retail price. The website reports that the availability of Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards has been better than in the most recent months. Almost all cards, including even Radeon RX 6800XT which was hard to buy from early 2021, are now easily available at a reasonably good price.

NVIDIA RTX 30 graphics cards have reported a 4 percentage point drop since late May, but the average price is still 2% above MSRP. At this pace, however, NVIDIA is more than likely to reach MSRP in the next week or two.
This new price drop happens just as the cryptocoin market marks its lowest value since late 2020. Furthermore, the profitability of Ethereum mining has reached unsustainable levels forcing miners to sell their equipment to avoid investment loss.
3DCenter also reports that price drop may slow down in the coming weeks as USD/EUR exchange rate marks its highest levels, which may lead European retailers to adjust their pricing.
