AMD PRO W7700 finally released.

In accordance with AMD’s prior announcement last month, the company is addressing the gap in their workstation Radeon PRO series by introducing the W7700 model, featuring the Navi 32 GPU. Notably, the card does not utilize the full GPU specifications but instead relies on a configuration of 3072 Stream Processors.

The W7700 is equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 memory, operating at a clock speed of 18 Gbps (2 GHz), providing a maximum theoretical bandwidth of 576 GB/s. This aligns with the memory configuration of the W7800, which employs the Navi 31 GPU and features 4480 SP cores.

According to the official specifications, the PRO W7700 is set to deliver 28.27 Teraflops of single-precision compute performance, suggesting a boost clock around 2.3 GHz. The card demands 190W of power and requires only one 8-pin power connector. Maintaining a 2-slot design, the card spans a length of 26.7 cm.

AMD has officially stated that the graphics card utilizes the Navi 32 GPU, as indicated by the transistor count. It houses 48 Compute Units, resulting in access to 48 Ray Accelerators for raytraced rendering. The GPU is equipped with 64MB Infinity Cache and seamlessly supports the PCIe Gen4x16 interface. Notably, this variant boasts four full-sized DisplayPort 2.1 connectors, which in AMD’s eyes is major enhancement compared to the RDNA2-based W6800 series. Regrettably, the availability of DP 2.1 monitors is currently quite limited.

AMD has disclosed that the PRO W7700 will be priced at $999, marking a $400 increase from the W7600 and a $1500 decrease from the W7800. While there appears to be room for a complete Navi 32 model and a slightly more expensive version, AMD has, for now, covered all tiers within their Radeon PRO W7000 series.
