AMD Zen3 & Intel Alder Lake are massively discounted during Primeday

Amazon has kicked off its deals for Prime subscribers with some of the latest hardware reaching new lows.

The Amazon deals this year bring a refreshing change. Unlike the underwhelming offers of 2022, which were plagued by overpriced PC hardware, the 2023 deals showcase a competitive battle among retailers to provide the best prices for PC hardware, even including parts released in the last 1-2 years.

Graphics Cards

Significant discounts can be found on the AMD Radeon 7000 series, with offers of up to 12% off for the RX 7900 XTX and 17% for the 7900 XT models. However, it is worth noting that AMD did not introduce any mid-range GPUs in this generation, limiting the options available based on the RDNA3 architecture. Similarly, the GeForce RTX 40 cards continue to be listed at higher prices, lacking any notable price reductions.

Intel CPUs

The CPU deals are quite captivating, particularly for the previous generation series such as Alder Lake and Zen3. The 12th Gen Core CPUs, like the 12600K, can now be purchased for as low as $180, while the ‘flagship’ i9-12900K is currently priced at $323. Another enticing option for gamers is the Core i7-12700K bundled with the Intel Arc A750 GPU, available at a price of $418, which appears to be a fair deal for both components.

The discounts on AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs are particularly newsworthy, with the 5600X and 5900X priced at half of their original 2020 prices. Additionally, the Ryzen 7 5800X, considered the top gaming CPU for the AM4 platform, is now available for $278, despite being from the previous year. Furthermore, the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, built on the latest Zen4 architecture, has also seen a substantial price reduction, now listed at $356, offering a 35% discount compared to its original 2022 price.

Those are the most interesting deals on CPU and GPUs during Amazon Prime Days. Remember only Prime subscribers can participate, but many retailers offer to match Amazon prices, so these deals may only be limited to this store.
