AMD FSR3 soon in more 11 bit games
The 11 Bit Studios, the company responsible for titles such as The Invincible, Frostpunk series, and This War is Mine, have announced an exclusive partnership with AMD for the forthcoming titles. AMD will be the technology partner for several of the games coming out, including The Invincible, Thaumaturge, and Codename Project 8.
The partnership is going to go beyond desktops. We are talking about mobile, handheld, and console systems as well. This is especially important because AMD hardware is now powering all major consoles and handheld systems with their RDNA2/RDNA3 architectures.
AMD has described 11 bit studios as a world-class developer, who pushes the boundaries of technology. The director of 11 bit Studios is excited to incorporate technologies such as FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 into their games. This partnership will also enable the company to optimize their games for AMD hardware, including Ryzen CPUs and Radeon GPUs.
There is always a constant need to push gaming technology further, to make each generation of video games deliver astounding visuals. For the engineers working on the tech it’s an exciting challenge and to face that challenge we’re working closely with AMD. Our games are unique and have many different angles of focus. Working with AMD we can include some of their incredible technologies like AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) in our latest titles and optimize those titles to maximize performance and visual fidelity on AMD RyzenT processors and AMD Radeon GPUs.
— Szymon Jabłoński, Director of Technology at 11 bit Studios
The very first titles announced to use FSR3 were Alters and Frostpunk 2. Neither has been released yet.
A new video has been shared by the developer showing the upcoming game Invincible. The gameplay was captured using Ryzen 7 7800X3D and RX 7900 XTX GPU at 8K resolution. This game is coming out next Monday.
