AMD FSR2 sees rapid adoption in games

Today AMD revealed that FSR2 support is now confirmed for over 100 available and upcoming games.

The upscaling technology had only been launched in May this year, but it has already been implemented or soon will be in over 100 games, confirms AMD today.

Just last week AMD confirmed that FSR2 has already been confirmed for 97 games, while FSR tech as a whole (FSR2 and FSR1) is available (or soon will be) in 226 titles. It didn’t take a week for AMD to reveal that FSR is now confirmed for 230 games. Importantly this number does not even include all 3rd party implementations, which are indeed quite popular for FSR. Officially, the technology has just been added to games such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next-gen and Cyberpunk 2077, or confirmed for upcoming Dead Island 2.

Meanwhile, NVIDIA recently confirmed that their DLSS tech is now available in over 250 games. Each month the company is adding new DLSS3 and DLSS2 titles. However, unlike AMD’s upcoming FSR3 tech (which is coming in 2023), NVIDIA DLSS3 is only supported by new RTX 40 GPUs.

AMD also recently announced that 3DMark software will soon receive a new Feature Test for FSR 2.2 technology. With this tool gamers will be able to test all upscaling quality profiles. It is worth noting that the software from UL already features NVIDIA DLSS1/2/3 and Intel XeSS feature tests.
